01 — Municipal & road construction
Roads, subdivisions & streetscapes
Municipal Projects & Road Building
Serving local and regional municipalities and the Ministry of Transportation for over 40 years, where attention to detail, scheduling and public safety are paramount — road reconstructions, resurfacings, new road construction, regional road widenings, maintenance contracts and roadway crackfilling.
Subdivision Roadway Construction
We typically take a project over from sub-base level and perform all grading, granular placement, base and top stage curb, sidewalk and paving operations. We have completed subdivisions from 30 homes to 550 homes, and specialise in complete top stage works.
Road Reconstruction
Many full and partial road reconstruction projects for various municipalities. Our ability to perform our own traffic control, excavation and removals, subdrain installation, concrete work and paving lets us complete these efficiently, with minimal disturbance to homeowners and the public.
Utility Cut Repairs & Maintenance Contracts
Multiple utility cut and maintenance contracts for the City of Toronto and many other municipalities for over 20 years. Our crews have the tools, equipment and experience to complete repair lists quickly and ensure all restoration is finished in a timely manner.
Sidewalk, Walkway & Trail Construction
Walkway and trail projects typically involve excavating meandering pathways through ravines, parks or City boulevards and installing new municipal street lighting, finished in asphalt, concrete, or a combination. Tree protection and sediment control protect the natural landscape.
Traffic Calming & Specialty Work
Experts in asphalt speed humps, speed cushions, roundabouts, concrete medians and bump-outs. Many projects include beautification elements — impressed asphalt, custom planter walls, impressed coloured concrete and interlock paving.
Excavating & Grading
Vaughan Paving performs its own excavating and grading for any construction project, with our own fleet of excavating equipment, dump trucks and trailers.
Site Servicing
Full site servicing and sewer and watermain reconstruction projects, performed by our affiliated sewer and watermain division, Direct Underground Inc.

Parking Lot Construction & Reconstruction
Vaughan Paving has made its name on parking lot construction and reconstruction. Work ranges from grinding or pulverizing existing asphalt, re-grading the granular base and re-paving, through to complete removal and reinstatement of curbs, sidewalk, asphalt, gravel and dirt.
Road & Parking Lot Repairs
All types of asphalt and concrete repair. Prompt service and an up-to-date fleet of equipment and trailers let us mobilize, complete the work and demobilize quickly, minimising disruption to tenants, pedestrians and motorists.
Emergency Repairs
Fully equipped and prepared for emergency asphalt paving and emergency work at a moment's notice, 24 hours a day — with stockpiled aggregate, cold mix, traffic control barrels, signage and flashing arrow boards at our centrally located yard.
Commercial & Industrial Property Maintenance
We work with property managers and independent owners to build annual or long-term plans, custom tailored to their requirements and budgets — paving, concrete, excavating, sewer and watermain, crack sealing and line painting, all in house.
